Vocational Counselor

What makes me get up and go to work in the morning is…
Knowing that what I am about to go do is going to make other people’s lives more enjoyable.  I could spend all day “making other people’s day.”

My proudest professional achievement is….
I have been proud of many of my achievements, but was most proud of the day I started teaching.  I worked very hard to get to that moment in order to teach special education in Hawaii.

One piece of modern technology I could not live without is…
My phone.  I have many close friends in faraway places and it is good to speak with them and keep up with those relationships.

The best insight I have gained from an individual with a disability I have known personally is….
Don’t let anything get in your way.  And don’t let others tell you something is impossible because everything is possible.

Three words I use to describe myself are…
Determined – compassionate – energetic

Three words other would use to describe me…
I hope the same as I use to describe myself!

The toughest challenge I have faced was…
Becoming a special education teacher with no training and having to learn everything extremely fast and taking care of my students at the same time.
