Kia Gordon
Vocational Counselor

What makes me get up and go to work in the morning is…
Knowing that I will make a difference in someone else’s life.

The most inspirational person with a disability I have met is…
A young lady from my church who has a brain injury.  Every Sunday she comes in singing and excited about services.

My proudest personal achievement is ….
Studying in Guanajuato, Mexico.

On whether I prefer the mountains or the beach….
The beach – I absolutely love the water and serenity it brings.

The last thing I do for work each day is…
Go over my checklist and make sure I have accomplished everything.

The best insight I have gained from someone with a disability who I have known personally is…
Enjoy life!  It’s too short to complain.

Three words someone would use to describe me are….
Outgoing – foreign – blessed
