Merie Ragland

Vocational Counselor

What makes me get up and go to work in the morning is….
My life purpose, accomplishing my goals as I help someone else accomplish theirs.

My proudest professional achievement is….
Being recognized by my former employer for the dedicated work I had performed.  This was on my 10-year anniversary.  I was presented with a plaque, speeches and flowers.  All my colleagues and clients attended and the local newspaper ran an excellent article.

I consider the day a success if….
I helped someone overcome an obstacle.

The best insight I have gained from an individual with a disability I have known personally is….
If you really want to do something it can be done.  Those barriers can be removed but support is imperative.

The most important thing on my desk is….
A picture of my family.
