Michelle Smith
Vocational Counselor

What makes me get up and go to work in the morning is…
The opportunity for new adventures and experiences.

The most inspirational person with a disability I have met personally is…
A young woman with cerebral palsy.  In spite of severe physical limitations she knew no boundaries regarding her desire to learn new things and experience new opportunities.

My proudest professional achievement is…
Starting a community swimming class for persons with physical disabilities.

Outside the office you will find me….
Almost anywhere that is outside!

The best insight I have gained from a person with a disability who I have known personally is…
Don’t sweat the small stuff and take care of the people you love – everything else is just details.

Three words I use to describe myself are….
Enthusiastic – versatile – caring
