DJJ Vocational Services
Working Together Towards Employment
The Choice Group works alongside Parole and Probation Officers to not only assist individuals who are facing barriers to employment, but also assist individuals to problem solve these obstacles while promoting their strengths and establishing a pattern of success.
Each client is assigned their own Vocational Counselor to identify interests and experiences to develop a realistic vocational goal and find employment.
The client works together with the Vocational Counselor to:

- Understand interests & experience

Complete job applications, cover letters and resumes

Learn positive work behaviors & interpersonal skills
-
Learn appropriate work dress and personal hygiene
-
Provide interview preparation
-
Provide job coaching to assist with learning and maintaining employment

Provide on-going supports as appropriate
